Anyone traveling to Panama MUST have a passport valid for at least 3 months from the arrival date. If you are staying in Panama for more than 3 months, then your passport MUST be valid for at least 6 months from the arrival date. If you have been granted any of the following, you DO NOT need a visa to enter Panama:
Canadian Permanent Resident Card
Valid multiple entry Tourist Visa, Study or Work Permit from any of the following countries:
Don't leave your ID behind Panama law requires that adults carry identification at all times. If you’re a visitor, you should be prepared to show your passport if requested by a police officer. If you don’t feel comfortable carrying your passport around, just make a photocopy. You don't have to copy every page—just the photo page and the page bearing your entry stamp.
